Clearly, I do a lot of VO for video, but in recent years, I've gotten more and more involved in the final visual product. It began with working on sound in post-production; cleaning it, boosting it, making it clearer, adding sound effects and music. Now, I am editing, rendering and creating special effects in the video itself. Here are some samples:

Dave Does Video Too?

A New Look

A few months ago, Romeo warned the team at "Saturday Night Online" that the name of the show was going to change. I got to work right away on a whole new look for the weekly Top 5 Requests Video.

My first idea was to incorporate all the tweets, snaps and instagrams of the listeners making the requests. There were a few tech issues, but we conquered them quickly.

Once the static art for the website was done, I grabbed the globe and spun it, and polished the rest to make some awesome eye candy.

WWE 13 Trailer

HQ production shot and put this piece together  to promote the game WWE13 online. I kinda wish I'd been there for the live shots at the beginning with Mike Tyson, but it was tremendous fun creating the big slam sounds and timing them to the video, my voice AND the music.

Z100 Jingle Ball

Each year, the stations that are part of the iHeartMedia New York Cluster stage concerts. In 2014 I was the "Executive Producer" for the Z100 Jingle Ball promotional video (for social media). Azeem Haq from Z103-5 in Toronto (DJ extraordinaire) did the actual mashup. This is what we came up with.

Z100 Jingle Ball

After the success of the 2014 campaign, iHM New York asked for a repeat performance in 2015. I hit the phone immediately to ring up Azeem to order up a new mashup with the new lineup. Here's what we came up with.

iHR Jingle Ball

iHeart Media (iHeart Radio) has for the last few years taken the Z100 Jingle Ball and created a touring version, hitting a lot of the major (and a few large) markets. Of course the artists all have different tour schedules so the touring show is never like the original, act for act. For example this year, One Direction simply wasn't available for the East Coast, so they're only doing a few shows out west. This is the social media video Azeem and I cooked up with ALL of the acts to be used in the various markets of the tour. Since it's not market specific, we made the iHR logo the skyline.

Z100 Jingle Ball

This one goes back a few years. It is the show intro I did with HQ Productions in 2009. No mashup, but Alex Dolginko and Mitchell Stuart did a masterful job of cutting the video to my soundtrack.

Powerhouse

In 2014 I put together the show intro for Powerhouse, the annual show presented by Power105/New York. We had our web team shoot video of the deejays, then I went to work creating a fun and powerful pre-show presentation and countdown.

Last year, I did the same for 103-5 KTU and KTUphoria. You'll notice that I used the Powerhouse template for the artist lineup on this one, and why not? It's a completely different audience.

Early in 2015, a friend of a friend saw some of my video work and asked if I could do a special online video that explains how to use his app called Saloote. Rather than have me explain the app here, just watch the video to see how it works.

A simple movie tribute to the love of my life, Jan. Yeah...the poetry is original too.
